The grand opening ceremony of Karma Thegsum Dhechenling Monastery had lasted three days from 11th Oct to 13th Oct 2010. During the three days, Chakra Sambava Puja was given consecutively by V.V. Thrangu Rinpoche, V. Zuri Rinpoche and V. Lhalung Sungtrul Rinpoche, along with more than 150 lamas. On 11th Oct, Vajra Kilaya Tsok Offering was held. On 12th Oct, there was a hanging horsewind ceremony held in the morning for blessing disciples and families. On the same day, there was a lamp offering ceremony held at night for world peace, especially for Qin Hai's earthquake. On 13th Oct, many officials, rinpoches, khenpos, heads of different monasteries, lamas, guests, visitors and over 10,000 local residents gathered there to celebrate the grand opening of the monastery.
